Many of my works have the possibity of aggression, because of my higher thoughts, caffine intake and the speed at which the art is completed in, etc. This work for example was done around the year 2000, UMD, I was in a state of awe and trying to show where I've been and subsequently where I'm going. There were no internal conflicts in me- then. The colors used are "straight from the tube" meaning pure, unadulterated color. Purple, yellow, gold, black green and white; are the dominant colors I use in this work. Emotion is the dominant vehicle I use in painting, thoughts, feelings and beliefs all circle around me as I work.  All my work shows the same sence of disipline, keep your-self (external thoughts, feelings, beliefs) out of the painting, or your work will get so muddied up no one can appeciate looking at it. This work I own ,after selling to Tweed, I traded a "new" self-portrait" for it. I could tell you the exact date it was done in, but it's of no consequece, per our discussion.Charcoal was used. Was Van Gogh a successful artist? Well, that depends on how you view success. To make $, or to make a dent in the art world. Life is just a test.  How well you do depends on several factors, such as what you do, what you try to do, and how successful you are at it.(among others).  I've had great accomplishments in my life, but am still going strong. Sold work to the Tweed, professors, individuals, restaurants and buisinesses. And how about you? This work  Domimo Cameleon is called that because not many people know what a skink is. I completed this work after going down the Green River(2 weeks) Utah, desert and encountering these 3" long lizards(skink) that caught flies, and being reptillian and lightning fast, the only time I was able to capture one on film was in the morning sunning itself, still. They were beautiful, in thier own little dance, as not to be caught and yet detect thier next meal. I tuned it into a self-portait after I obtained it from the Tweed. Sometimes you don't know what a great thing is until it's gone.

unrealistic face

in the height of my self-portraiture this emerged out of an absract-expressionism a self portrait behind the colors and lines I pick out what comes alive in my abstract paintings actually this is a drawing the paint on it is not to be part of the composition it's just "background" and the face is not to be primary so what is the primary "look" of this "composition" it's up for each individual person to decide what the overall composition comprises just like all of my work everyone can deceide what they see but the best thing is next time they look at it they can see a different composition

22"x30" Tweed museum of Art done 2009 march 25th sold to tweed march 26th hung in tweed march 27th for year - finished in 10 minutes abstract-expressionist /realist painting acrylic charcoal mouth is off-center eyes and ear are diminutive. Prominently- cheek_ 2nd nose mouth. For the 1st year it was shown, I pointed it out to many and got their reactions to it. Some couldn't see 'till I pointed out cheek nose and mouth, rarely did a person recognize it from 20-30' away. What it gave me is a look into people's minds and said perception of said artwork. Knowledge of said artwork, that is until the goodbye party for the chancellor(Martin) at Tweed had it  covered up- because of the attention in which I perceive paid to it,but mostly because of where it was front and center( thank you -  Ken-Peter-Eric for such an honorary placement)+ it had been up for a year (I'd like to formally apologize to Scott for venting all over you - when the truth be told - you are one of my real friends) Tweed has nothing close to its resemblance, there has been nothing like it produced anywhere in 10 minutes or ever. It was a substantial "hit" with museum goers, and me not being an art critic - if there was a flood of people descending on the UMD , and let the people pluck a purple poppy and pick what they like. I am a phenom in the art world, like it or not, if the YOU don't want my work, I'll sell it everywhere. Feast your eyes on this BLOG. And this is just the beginning - where now? PS:I have no EGO, this is me speaking.really.

self portriat as a clown

a person left a comment - that they didn't see face 'till later - the colors take over - blues greens teals oranges reds yellows and black and whites . It's a large open eye, hair, smiling mouth with the whites and blacks pulling the viewer eye over here, no there - a very well balanced in color shape and line
